"Pardon Me"
The Story: This shot was taken at Sauwandarek Village in Raja Ampat, Indonesia - a place well known for great amounts of fish and in particular schooling sweetlips. I’ve seen many‚ cliche Raja Ampat‘ shots of those infamous sweetlips in the past so when I was diving there I definitely wanted to try to get one myself. However when I spotted the enormous fish ball, I figured I’ll take a different approach to the shots I’ve seen: Instead of trying to shoot the school as a whole I slowly swam towards them. Not only was this an unforgettable experience diving through the fish but at the same time I was left with an interesting shot of the species highlighting their prominent and name giving lips.
