Underwater Project: A Year-Round Australasia Shootout
The Underwater Project: A Year-Round Australasia Shootout
The Underwater Project Launches as the World's First Perpetual Underwater Photo & Video Shootout
By UWPG News
The 7-year-old Underwater Festival has undergone a big change this year, becoming the Underwater Project - the world's first perpetual underwater photo and video shootout competition. Designed to be dynamic in nature, the Underwater Project is a rolling shootout competition that is judged annually and offers near $100,000 in prizes for the upcoming year. All photos/videos must be shot in the Australasia region.
Instead of paying per photo entered, registrants pay an annual membership (2 levels available) in order to upload photos every month. Other users can check out each other's portfolios and allow non-profits to use their photos for conservation purposes.
The Underwater Project isn't just limited to underwater photographers and videographers - any dive center, liveaboard, resort or dive club can become an Underwater Project Fringe Event host and be listed on the website.
