The dive community is buzzing to see Discovery’s feature film Racing Extinction, which premiers on December 2 in more than 220 countries around the globe. Created by Academy Award winner Louie Psihoyos (most known for directing The Cove), Racing Extinction promises to expose the very real threat of animal extinction around the globe through vivid never-before-seen imagery.

GoPro has been a major supporter of Racing Extinction and has put together a special behind the scenes short film in preparation of the premier on Discovery this week. Follow Louie Psihoyos and the Oceanic Preservation Society as they capture mesmerizing images of a 90 foot blue whale next to a human being.
