4th Place Macro

Lorenzo Terraneo

Dancer Sea Worm

Lorenzo won a $100 gift certificate from Bluewater Photo or Bluewater Travel

The story:  This picture is a detail of Sabella spallanzani, a marine worm which is like a flower (it’s gills). This organism is at dept of 20 mt and is a difficult subject because at a little movement of water or variation of light it’s retired itself quickly in it’s tube, so, often, you can get only one shot. I try many dives to take this shot, looking for “my” right allineament  and spiral movement of gills in a little frame for isolate only the yellow of form of Sabella with the blue of the sea.

Location: Capo Noli, Italy

Camera: Nikon D7200 and Nikkor 105mm Macro Lens (F13, 1/160, ISO 200) with Ikelite Housing and Ikelite DS125 Strobe.
