The Story: In early spring, in the small rivers of the Maggia Valley of the southern part of Switzerland, the frogs begin to descend from the mountains to lay their eggs.
Following small streams, they begin to mate. Then head to ponds to spawn, like this pair nestled on a soft bed of eggs.
