Constant Lighting Tutorials

Underwater photography and video tutorial series for using constant lighting and video lights instead of strobes
By Brent Durand

Shooting still photos with strobes has long been the norm for underwater photography. In recent years, however, video lights have become very powerful, packed with strong lumen counts in small, affordable bodies. We're even seeing COB lights begin to replace traditional LED light arrays.

The tutorials below discuss some of the theories and practicalities of shooting with constant lighting underwater for both macro and wide-angle.
