All September 2013 - Where will YOU Dive?

The Underwater Festival is back and it is on again in September! Like all things that come back, the next one is always going to be BIGGER and BETTER, so in 2013 we again listened to the comments of participants to evolve.

The 2013 Underwater Festival™, the Australasia-wide Shootout happens over the whole month of September 2013.

25 countries spanning both hemispheres - every dive site you can imagine will be a shootout locality, every dive centre, liveaboard, dive resort in the area facilitates this new kind of shootout. You can dive your local favourite spots, go out with your dive club or shore dive with your buddy - or travel and join in one of the many Underwater Festival Fringe Events that are happening all over Australasia.

The other great news is we are signing up a long list of 'Redemption Centres' - which means that a large number of 2013 Underwater Festival™ sponsors and supporters will credit your Underwater Festival entry fee (up to a certain maximum) just by presenting them with your order confirmation email. The 2013 Underwater Festival™ is open for registrations and you can order your entry credits now - you can register all the way to the last day in September.

VERY IMPORTANT: BEFORE you take any photos or video in the month of September 2013 you will need to set your camera(s) to a different date (this will be announced in late August). This is to prevent any images that were not taken during the festival month to be entered.

So please don't delay, log on now, create your profile and get your entry credits.

Good news for those that participated in 2011 and/or 2012, your login details are still working and there is no need to create another profile. The site works very much the same so you already know what's coming.

If you have a diving, photography or travel related website we would love your help to spread the word. We have created a page full of cool banners and videos you can embed in your own websites and this is also a useful tool for any dive operator in the area that want to promote the fact that over $100,000 in prizes can be won in September 2013 by diving RIGHT THERE!.

Many of the worlds most famous underwater photographers are part of this event and workshop hosts and competition judges. Just to mention a few of the big names already involved as Fringe Event hosts or judges - Stephen Wong, Takako Uno, Gary Bell, David Warth and the two new judges for 2013 Darren Jew and Kevin Deacon.

You can dive your local favourite spots, go out with your dive club or shore dive with your buddy - or travel and join in of of the many Underwater Festival Fringe Events that are happening all over Australasia. Basically everyone has 30 days to shoot - 1st to 30st of September 2013.
