Heather Sutton

Heather started diving in 2011 when she found she could no longer have every ski season off of work. Her logic was, she could always find somewhere in the world to dive no matter what month she was given off at work. Living a couple of hours inland led her to purchase a point and shoot camera as another means of motivation to keep diving. She fell in love with underwater photography and all of its challenges after a great liveaboard trip in Timor Leste and continues to hone her craft whenever she can.

Networking with fellow photographers and dive providers has led Heather to adventures throughout the Coral Triangle and hopefully further afield. She loves sharing her images with people and is always up for a chat about photography, no matter what skill level or equipment setup. There is so much to learn from every person and she is forever indebted to some great people she has met in her travels. She continues to "work" at her real job as a firefighter and her diving and photography are a key part of her mental health management --- some people go to counselling, she goes diving!
