The Story: Diving with reverse macro ring (RRM) otherwise known and “poor man macro” allows you to obtain large magnification ratios at the condition of losing the autofocus, you cannot trust your light meter and the viewfinder goes vary dark due to the aperture settings of the secondary lens. The system may vignette (like in this case) and providing that you know how to exploit the system you can waive the snoots “simplifying” the lighting setup. As the working distance is very small. You must work with red lights only. The eye of this small octopus was almost glued to the lens and we were staring at each other. It took me at least 10 minutes to win the trust of the octopus nested into a small crevice. It was exploring my camera while I took the shot.
