"Into the Light"
The Story: We are lucky enough to get Manta Rays year round on the Ningaloo Reef. With many sheltered bays concentrating the plankton into thick soup these beautiful animals always have plenty of food. One of the most amazing feeding techniques to observe is 'barrel rolling' where they loop over and over trying to consume as much plankton as possible in a short space of time. After approaching this ray with caution she allowed me to photograph her for over an hour feeding! Magic.
