"Barracuda Meets The Goggle Eyes"
The Story: Roatan, Honduras is one of my favorite places to dive. The vibe is "chill" and the diving is easy. I've been diving there since 2003 and each time there are new surprises. This experience did not disappoint. At the end of the Blue Channel dive site, the Native Sons dive shop took me to where people usually don't go. The visibility was poor. But then all of a sudden, a huge cloud appeared- it was a magnificent school of big eye scad, referred to by the locals as "Goggle eyes". We followed them around. The giant cloud of fish engulfed us. We went back the next day and spent the entire dive with them. Out of nowhere, a Barracuda entered the cloud of fish as if it were hunting. While words cannot adequately describe the splendor of these schooling fish, I was thrilled to have been able to capture this experience through my photography.
