Dyron Quick-adapt for Sony RX-100
Dyron has a quick-adapter solution for the Recsea Sony RX-100 housings coming out in November 2012. This solution will allow the user to quickly attach macro and wide-angle lenses to the Recsea port, instead of slowly screwing the lens on and off.
Ikelite D600 housings are out
Now that the D600 housings are out by Ikelite, you can fully house a full-frame camera for under $4000. The housings come with a TTL capable bulkhead and are depth rated to 200 feet. Full specs are available on their website. Retail price is $1,600.
Nauticam T4i housings are out
"The best rebel housing to date", according to Nauticam, is now shipping. With a new innovation that holds down the Av button for you, this new housing is shipping now for only $2400.
Nauticam Olympus 60mm ports coming out
Nauticam has released a new port for the Olympus 60mm lens ($300), and small extension rings for existing ports ($180 for the 20mm).
Recsea Canon S110 housings are coming out in December 2012
The Recsea Canon S110 housing will be similar to the well-reviewed Recsea S100 housing, tiny in size, with large control wheels and great wet lens options.
GoPro Hero3 is coming out soon
GoPro Hero 3 is the most compact and advanced POV action camera ever. The Hero 3 is smaller, lighter and more powerful than its predecessor. The Black edition can shoot at 4k and comes standard with the WiFi controller and flat port waterproof housing. The GoPro 3 is perfect as a stand alone video camera or as an accessory to you camera rig. They have also released the original Hero and Hero 2 in the new body style. With three different price points this should be in everyone stocking this year.
Black edition cameras should be available by the end of November
Sea & Sea leak detectors
Leak detectors for the Sea & Sea D800 and Canon 5D Mark III housings will be available in early December 2012 from your local Sea & Sea dealer. Part # SS-46115
Zen OM-D port adapter announced
Zen is releasing the PA-EP08-EP adapter which will allow the Olympus brand OM-D E-M5 housings to use zen ports WA-100-EP, WA-100-EP714, and FP-100-EP. Cost is $100.
Ultralight has a new hot shoe adapter
Ultralight released a new version of the hot shoe adapter that puts a ball on top of housings. This new part has a thumbscrew that allows the adapter to easily tighten down - a nice improvement!
